The NY Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation was the recipient of a New York Community Trust grant to create a Risk Resilience Toolkit & Business Continuity Planning Tool for providers of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the New York City region.
Through this grant the NY Alliance:
- Developed and distributed educational resources, including best practices in disaster and crisis response and relevant material related to COVID-19.
- Designed a customized Risk Resilience Website to share all resources.
- Created a customized business continuity plan for participating nonprofit organizations.
Although the pandemic was the impetus for the creation of the website, the resources are relevant to any disaster preparedness and business continuity planning. There are no fees to access resources on the Risk Resilience Resources Website.
The website has an array of resources related to pandemic and other disaster preparedness. Resources available now include:
- A Business Continuity Planning Tool – This NY Alliance members only benefit allows providers to design a business continuity plan or BCP that helps leadership teams anticipate their actions in the face of disruptive events.
- Articles, Webinars, and Short Infographics on a variety of topics related to crisis management.
