Mid-Level Leadership Development Series

About the New York Alliance Mid-Level Leadership Development Series

The NY Alliance has developed a dynamic learning series to specifically support your organization’s mid-level leaders – those who play a pivotal role in translating strategy into action, guiding teams, and driving operational success. The role of the mid-level leader can prove challenging as they represent the “layer” between frontline staff and executive leadership.

This learning series will look to develop their understanding of values-based leadership, and enhance their skills in a number of areas. The series will include curricula related to establishing a respectful and DEIB-informed philosophy, ethics, and organizational culture.

Emphasis is placed on decision-making that supports mission-driven, diverse, and inclusive, person-centered supports throughout the series. Participants are encouraged to collaborate and develop working relationships with leaders in each respective cohort.

This Mid-Level Leadership Development Series will include a coordinated sequence of courses, reading materials, and discussion groups led by industry and educational leaders that will encourage professional growth.

The curriculum will include but not be limited to:

  • Impact through Values Based Leadership
  • Building the Foundation for DEI Progressive Work
  • Social Emotional Intelligence
  • Person-Centered Principles
  • Team Building
  • Conflict Management
  • Effective Communication
  • Mentoring to Empower Employees
