Since its inception, the New York Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation (NY Alliance) has played a leading role in advancing employment opportunities for New Yorkers with disabilities.
In May, 2023, the organization received funding through the National Expansion of Employment Opportunities Network (NEON) to develop and begin to implement a plan to expand Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) in New York State. NY Alliance developed a workgroup of experienced providers, along with representation from the NYS Self-Advocacy Association (SANYS) and the NYS Industries for the Disabled (NYSID), to guide the work.
